Very often the majority of issues I face with Sage CRM are due to the Apache Tomcat elements that were introduced with the implementation of the Interactive Dashboard first shipped with Sage CRM v7.0
One of the most annoying little niggles is when you update Sage CRM or even when you just process an IIS Reset, this is the Apache Tomcat CRMTomcat6 service getting stuck in the stopping process.
Thankfully it is really easy to resolve here are the steps
1. Launch the Command Prompt (CMD) Start -> Run -> CMD
2. In the CMD Window type this
|
1 |
sc queryex CRMTomcat6 |
**Where CRMTomcat6 is your Tomcat Service Name
3. Then win run the command window will look like this:

You will notice in this window that one of the items is PID, this is what you will need to make a note of for the next and final step.
4.Using the PID value from before type in
|
1 |
taskkill /PID 7888 /F |
5. Lastly restart the CRMTomcat6 service in the normal manner!
Thats it this is a useful little technique to have when working with Sage CRM and Apache Tomcat.
I am taking more and more photo’s these day’s which is weird because I have never been one for photo’s but anyway I may be no good and the images may not be composed properly but what the heck here are some pictures I took of a Kite Display Team practicing on Camber Sands in East Sussex whilst I was walking the dog.
Monday mornings, why is everyone so dead set against them? for me they are just another day and can be really exciting and interesting, also I have just usually had a relaxed weekend at home with family and friends so I am relaxed and happy to start a new week.
This monday morning is especially interesting, but I will get to that in a bit, first let me talk about last week and some of the things I got up to Monday & Tuesday last week were filled up with report writing for a client which was really interesting and could be done from the office in Rye Harbour so that was great and of course Monday Night Club was rocking with a lovely Curry cooked by Michael.
Wednesday it was off to Worcester for a meeting which was really interesting with a company that has links into so major vehicle manufacturers, I was excited to spend time with these guy’s and I hope to be seeing them again soon.
Thursday. A bit of a Create / MHT day I was tying up loose ends for MHT and finishing of create’s customer portal which I showed to them on Friday, amidst easter eggs and danish pastries. I think they loved it! a few enhancements to follow but otherwise I seemed to have hit the nail on the head. Friday night was great had a reasonable meal at Simply Italian in Rye with Emma and then music night at the Ypres so I went out with the wife and met up with friends and had a few… beers.
All in all a good week and so to this week and today Monday, well I am writing this whilst on a ferry going to Dunkirk, from there to see AR in Amersfoort all really exciting european travel and all on a Monday, also how awesome is it when you can be on a ferry and write your blog!
Keep your yes peeled for updates throughout the week and enjoy your Monday!
